June 2006 - West Coast USA
ICE is represented by CEO Lars Gabe at the Danish Prime Ministers business delegation to San Francisco and Seattle.
The delegation visited Stanford Research Institute (SRI), UC Berkeley and the companies Bavarian Nordic, Vestas, Novozymes, Zymogenetics and Microsoft.
June 2006 - Chinese delegation revisits Denmark
Business and political leaders from the province of Hebei in Northern China visits Frederiksborg county to strengthen the good relations and to build contacts.
Special areas of interest are medical technology, area planning and recycling.
March 2006 - ICE joins ØDA clinical database initiative
Due to strong competencies in developing solutions for the healthcare and pharmaceutical industries, ICE has been chosen to develop the Clinical Diabetes Database of ØDA.
The development of the database is a part of the work scope of the Øresund Diabetes academy (ØDA), and it will facilitate the use of clinical diabetes information across the Øresund region.
PDA integrated into ICE systems
New version of ICE EquipmentLog® and ICE BatchManager® supports wireless PDAs with integrated barcode scanners.
ICE Lean® at Novo Nordisk A/S
With the help of ICE Lean® Novo Nordisk A/S has minimized inventory and levelled the resource load in manufacturing. ICE Lean® optimizes logistics and planning in the Devices & Sourcing division of Novo Nordisk. The newest site included in the roll-out is Tianjin, China.
New markets
Japan - Born Global
In the spring of 2005 ICE participated in the Export Councils business promotion "Born Global" in the EXPO 2005 event. The promotion went well with the Crown prince couple and the minister of business Bendt Bendtsen attending. The reason for participating was to investigate the possibilities of cooperation with one or more of the local distributers in the distribution of ICE BatchManager® which is a software package specially tailoured to suit the needs of the pharmaceutical industry.
The trip was a very positive experience and ICE plans to repeat the success in the nearest future.

China
In November 2004 a prominent delegation of representatives from the Hebei province under the leadership of the provinces governer Ji Yunshi visited Frederiksborg County. In the meeting the delegation expressed a wish for further contact and cooperation in especially the fields of the environment, medicotechnique, education and culture.
ICE followed up by participating in the visit to China in the early summer of 2005 since ICE's special areas of interest in medico and IT are also among the areas that China finds interesting.
ICE BatchManager® manages new gas manufacturing and filling plant for Strandmøllen Industrigas. Bulk production of gasses is monitored by ICE CPM®.
ICE BatchManager® controls the production og medical gasses (GMP) and technical gasses at Strandmøllen Industrigas. Strandmøllen Induistrigas have just finalised their new state of the art gas manufacturing and filling plant in Ejby, Funen. The plant is approved by "lægemiddelstyrelsen".
Novo Nordisk uses ICE ESM®
ICE ESM® saves Novo Nordisk lots of time and money in Excel validation projects. Novo Nordisk like any other pharmaceutical company has a lot of data stored in Excel spreadsheets. Depending on the criticality of these data, the spreadsheets must be validated and controlled. This can be an expensive and time consuming affair, but thanks to a risk based approach and to the tools ESM (Excel Security Module) and Excel Risk Management tool, the time spent has been much less than originally expected.
Java Certification
The System Developers at ICE A/S are currently being certified as Java programmers.
The first two have already passed.

ICE Glacier
The common software platform, which form the base of the systems: BatchControl, Critical Parameter Monitoring (CPM) and Electronic Equipment Log has been named:
ICE Glacier.

ICE Glacieris a toolbox containing tested software components. New systems solutions from ICE are often developed by adding software components from ICE Glacier together with new developed software.

All components in ICE Glacier are developed in accordance to GAMP4 and qualified according ICE Quality. The components in ICE Glacier are designed to GMP critical applications. The components in ICE Glacieris also designed for 21 CFR Part 11 with full electronic signature, audit trail etc.

The ICE Glacier toolbox enables ICE to deliver complex systems of a high and well proven quality, at short delivery times and competitive prices.

FDA conference - ICE is lecturing
The royal Danish embassy in Washington DC and the Danish Trade Council is holding a 2 days conference October, 7. & 8, 2003, which is focusing on the sales of medicinal products on the American marked.

ICE is invited to lecture on the conference. Johann Binder (project manager) will talk about important considerations when implementing new systems in a regulated environment. Lars Gabe (CEO) will talk about the development and implementation of a Part 11 strategy.

The invitation to the seminar including a detailed agenda will be available during the summer.
ICE in the news
The increased interest in entrepreneurs and their companies in Denmark has also led to an increased interest in ICE and our activities. The Danish Government has new plans, which should make it more encouraging for people to start their own company. This plan has added to the focus on our region, which can show some of the best results for new started companies.

ICE was on national TV 21. Feb. 2003, where an interview with our CEO Lars Gabe was transmitted in the TV2 News - Finance at 18:00.

Business Awards
The Hillerød Business Award 2002 was given to ICE and Lars Gabe Tuesday, March 19.
Chief of the Board of Hillerød Business Council, John Jensen, told at the conference, that the Business Council had many fine candidates to the Price this year, and that Lars Gabe was awarded the price, especially because of his personal initiative and risk willingness. Further reasons were product development, excellent business practice and ability to look ahead.
There has been time for wife and children, building a highly skilled team of ICE employees and creating team spirit, John Jensen said, before he presented the price, a large porcelain Polar bear, because of Lars Gabe's interest in Greenland, nature and hunting.
Lars Gabe said after receiving the price, that it was a price for all ICE employees, because ICE is build on teamwork and knowledge sharing and is not dependant of any single individual.
